Albert Einstein once said, "There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." This quote has stuck with me ever since I heard it years ago. What a beautiful reminder of the gift that we have everyday. The gift that is our life and our story.
My obsession with photography and documenting life came at an early age. Losing my father suddenly and being left with a handful of photographs at age 10 was something that changed my trajectory forever. A trajectory that brought me to where I am today. Married to my better half, raising two beautiful children and living my dream. Documenting life and reminding people to tell their story.
The everyday can be daunting and mundane, but we must remember the quote above. Everything is a miracle. The breaths we take, the glorious moments we have while raising our children, the life that we are creating for ourselves every single day. It is all a gift and an amazing one at that. It's the legacy that you will leave behind for generations after you to tell.
My hope is that your visit here will inspire you to tell your story. Live it and tell it. Out loud. And remember the tiny miracles as well as the big ones. Carrying life inside of you, the tiny heartbeat of a newborn, seeing your husband hold your son or daughter for the first time, the sound of bare feet on the kitchen floor, giggles coming from their bedroom late at night, tiny hands and big dreams, kool-aid stained faces and summer nights, christmas mornings, first days of school, triumphs and struggles, watching your little ones become amazing people who will create their own legacy one day.
And I hope that I can be a part of telling your story. After all, it's going to be an amazing one.
